Sunset in Land’s End

Walk to the setting sun,
As far as you can;
The sky, the sea crimson…

Walk through the hills,
The valleys, the gorse and the primroses.
Down to the shore, up the cliffs;
Uphill, down dale.

For a while,
Rest on a bench
Dedicated to someone loved;
Look around:
Subdued yet vibrant,
Pale yet iridescent,
Desolate yet full of life.

In Cornwall you are.
The land the heavens the sunset enfolds,
The land where the sunset enfolds you,
The land’s end.
