Foam, Island and Flower

Wave on the high seas,
Foam ignorant of coasts.

Island undiscovered,
Fruit hanging from its branch.

In unfolding meadows,
Yet unexplored,
Flower blossoming pale pink.

Ziya Osman Saba (1910-1957). Köpük, Ada ve Çiçek. Translated from the Turkish.
